The issue of artificial intellect development became a focus of interest on the agenda of the meeting. The speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin announced the establishment of the legislation regulating the relationship between a human and a robot. He urged the colleagues to draw on the expertise of the largest domestic companies that work quite effectively in this sphere.
Concerns relating to the cryptocurrencies regulation were also addressed. According to the Chairman of the State Duma, this regulation should provide protection of citizens, because it relates to the sphere of “virtual reality, where, on the one hand, the legislative regulation should contribute to the development of all these technologies, these processes, and on the other hand, to protect the citizens from the violation of their rights”. Vyacheslav Volodin urged the deputies to consider the international practice in this regard.
“I consider it timely and important to organize such training seminars in which the colleagues engaged in digital economy development of different fields will be able to share their experience and deliberations, to raise the concerns they have to face and to discuss the ways to address them. I would like to note that the issue of legislative regulation of this topic is the most crucial nowadays. The interest on the part of the deputies in the discussion with the representatives of the sector suggests that the regulation of processes relating to digital economy should not go too fast. It is important to hear all points of view, all positions, to examine the international experience in order not to adopt the acts which simply will not work later on,” German Klimenko stated, commenting on the outcomes of the meeteing.
