Addressing the participants of the Forum, he noted that just 20 years ago it was impossible to run a company without visiting its office daily. Now modern technologies allow switching to other management forms, and it needs be taking into account. The main indicator of the digital economy presence is a shift away from the traditional model of corporate control to more efficient forms. It is this advantage, German Klimenko emphasized, that many successful digital companies had. First of all they eliminated inefficiencies by reducing unnecessary staff positions, for example, a huge number of lawyers.
German Klimenko addressed the issue related to the age of the staff in modern digital companies, the heads of which are increasingly becoming 20 to 25-year-old young people. As an example he cited the health sector, where young doctors, who have not got much experience yet, are actively exploring and are not afraid to apply new, more advanced devices and equipment: ”as a result, the efficiency of their work increases significantly, this can be compared with the speed of a runner and a car on a track. Fifty-year-old doctors are still fine, ‘running’, but thirty-year-old doctors appear, who are ‘driving a Ferrari’. And there's nothing you can do about it: yes, they have lower qualifications, but they are much faster to reach the goal,“ —the Presidential adviser said.
