At Federal state budgetary institution ”Russian scientific center for radiology and nuclear medicine ‘ under the Ministry of healthcare of Russia, the Presidential Adviser met with the Director of the center, habilitated doctor of medicine, academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, honored doctor of Russia, Vladimir Solodky. The ways to reduce the morbidity by means of early diagnosis and use of digital medicine methods were discussed.
“We see the possibility of a significant change in the quality of early diagnosis of oncological diseases through the use of mathematical methods and methods of artificial intelligence in the processing of medical data and through the creation of a service of information exchange of these data between medical organizations in Russia. The introduction of methods and principles of digital medicine will enable the dissemination of the experience of leading medical centers throughout the country, establishment of uniform standards for digitization of materials, implementation of a medical data exchange system. Coupled with an appropriate legislative and regulatory support, this approach will ensure early diagnosis of cancer and precancerous lesions, identification of risk groups and their preventive treatment. This will eventually reduce the morbidity, keep treatment costs down, speed up the rehabilitation and, most importantly, improve the quality of life of the citizens“, German Klimenko said following the meetings.
At present, a little more than half of malignant tumors are detected in early stages. In early April at the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation a meeting on the use of digital medicine advances in the execution of instructions to establish a state system for early diagnosis of oncological diseases will be held
