German Klimenko took part in a videoconference with cancer centers of the subjects of the Russian Federation

On April 6 the Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation German Klimenko visited the Federal state budgetary institution (FSBI) “National medical research center for radiology” under the Ministry of healthcare of Russia, where he met with the General Director, academician of the RAS Andrey Kaprin and took part in a weekly remote videoconference with cancer centers of the subjects of the Russian Federation.

At the meeting with the General Director of National medical research center for radiology Andrey Kaprin the organization of early diagnosis of oncological diseases and the role of digital technologies in its implementation were discussed. During the videoconference, German Klimenko watched the discussion of the results of treatment of a patient suffering from prostate cancer, with the participation of oncologists from Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Grozny, Donetsk, Belgorod, Vladimir, Maykop, Lipetsk, Cheboksary and other cities of Russia. The Presidential Adviser thanked the participants of the videoconference for their daily work, stressing that the introduction of digital technologies and methods of artificial intelligence in oncology does not replace the doctor, but helps in the work allowing to improve the quality of diagnosis and choice of treatment approach.
